Frequently Asked Questions

The College Partnership program will become your "tool-kit" for your college planning.  This program was born out of need for families to have access to professional advice and powerful planning tools.  We brought together a professional group of educators to form an Academic Advisory Board and with them we created a program that has helped over 100,000 students.

This is a program and system that:

·        Matches your interests and strengths to specific majors and careers.

·        Assists your family with financial aid options.

·        Helps you with the college admissions process.

·        Provides test-preparation tools and assistance.

·        Presents you to colleges/universities.

How do we do all of this? Through our unique computer software coupled with a team of educated professionals who are available to assist you.

We have a unique system to accomplish all of this and are known to have the very best technology in the industry.  Combined with our state-of-the-art systems we can identify and merge a student's personal, academic, and financial needs to create a customized action plan.  Thirteen years ago when we began, we invested $10 million in our process and technology infrastructure.  Every year since then we have continued to invest in our comprehensive college database, proprietary technology, and administrative systems.  We have the best and the only "complete college" program available.

Test-Prep for PSAT, SAT I and ACT:
Our proven, computer-based test-prep program has helped thousands of students substantially raise their PSAT, SAT I and ACT scores, gain admission to the college of their choice, and in many cases, qualify for scholarships.  The program identifies their weak academic areas and guides them through extensive tutorials to improve those skills.  These tutorials can also help students with their homework.

Also includes: SAT I Skills Mastering: This video is a part of the Test-Prep System and takes the student through every type of verbal and math question on the SAT I. It also provides test day strategies and advice.

College Major Evaluation:
The College Major Interest Planner is a fun to use computer program that gives students the opportunity - before they leave for college - to make an informed decision about which major to consider.  Indecision in this area can add one, two, or more semesters of extra tuition and lost wages.  The average cost for one semester: $8,700.

High School-to-College Action Plan:
This full package includes our College Action Plan with up-to-date information about the transition process, as well as a college-prep video, Financial Analysis, College Report Summary, and Student Presentation.

College Action Plan: This step-by-step guide walks you through the high school-to-college transition process.  It has valuable information about what to do when and how to do it the right way.  You?ll find information to help you every step of the way.  It is the most comprehensive college-planning tool we've seen.

Preparing for College: In this video, noted author, speaker, and lecturer, Dr. Fred Zuker, advises parents and students on the key aspects of the high school-to-college transition process.

Family Financial Analysis: This detailed report provides you with a summary of your current financial situation and an early look at your Expected Family Contribution.  You'll also discover financial strategies that may lower your Expected Family Contribution and further reduce college costs.

College Report Summary: Using your student's academic record and college selection preferences, we will identify the colleges/universities that are the "right fit" personally, academically and financially.  You'll receive a detailed, two-page summary packed with pertinent information for each college, as well as a financial overview that provides a detailed summary of your out-of-pocket costs.

Student Presentation: After receiving the Student Presentation Form from your student, College Partnership presents your student's information to selected colleges.

Merit Aid Evaluation:
Through our web-based application you will receive access to our proprietary database of more than 100,000 merit aid awards at over 1100 colleges and universities.  You'll be able to identify awards that match your student's current qualifications and see additional awards that may be within reach - with some extra student effort.  This step is critical in determining your true out-of-pocket costs at colleges.
